Founded and led by award-winning philanthropist, activist, and photographer Bae Hart, The Bae Hive is a premier youth development program that provides structured coaching, intentional representation, and community-driven support. Bae Hart’s work has been recognized for its impact in youth empowerment, social advocacy, and creative education, making The Bae Hive a trusted and highly sought-after program for families invested in their child’s growth.

Our Mission

At The Bae Hive, we are committed to preparing young people for success in life, leadership, and personal development.

Our program is built on four core pillars:
Confidence & Self-Worth: Helping mentees develop a strong sense of identity, resilience, and self-love.
Real-World Readiness: Providing life skills, critical thinking, and leadership training to equip youth for success.
Representation & Inclusivity: Ensuring that young people see themselves reflected in positive, empowering spaces.
Mental & Emotional Wellness: Supporting mentees in navigating challenges, handling adversity, and fostering a healthy mindset.

While creative expression and the arts are part of our foundation, our mission extends beyond that to include age-appropriate life coaching, mentorship, and real-world preparedness that young people need to thrive.

We pride ourselves on representing the underrepresented, advocating for self-expression, and providing invaluable opportunities for growth. Through our work, we bridge gaps in self-esteem, education, and mental well-being, ensuring that every mentee walks away stronger, smarter, and more self-assured.

Expectations & Guidelines

To maintain the integrity and impact of our program, The Bae Hive operates under structured rules and expectations:

Attendance & Participation: Mentees will take part in a mix of in-person and virtual Google Meet sessions.Consistent attendance is required to maximize the program’s benefits.
Commitment to Growth: This is a mentorship program, not a casual activity. We expect both mentees and parents to be actively involved in the journey.
No Behind-the-Scenes Photos: To protect the integrity of our workshops, events, and exclusive experiences, behind-the-scenes photos and videos are strictly prohibited unless otherwise stated.
Membership Fee: To sustain the high-quality mentorship, resources, and experiences we provide, there is a program fee for participation. Payment details will be provided during the registration process.
Community & Respect: The Bae Hive is a safe, uplifting, and empowering space. Mentees are expected to respect themselves, their peers, and the program’s values.

ABOUT Bae hart

As a Southern-born Black photographer, activist, and educator, my work is deeply rooted in respect, intentional storytelling, empowerment, and representation. My lens captures more than just images—it captures history, identity, and the resilience of underrepresented communities.

Throughout my career, I have been honored to have my works featured in prestigious museums, national publications, news outlets, billboards, and media outlets, elevating the visibility of underrepresented and misrepresented culture on a global stage. My work has been displayed in spaces that honor the depth of our stories while challenging stereotypes and fostering a deeper understanding of cultural experiences.

Beyond photography, I have founded transformative programs in youth mentorship and education, blending my artistic vision with impactful community engagement. I am the founder of:

  • The Bae Hive and The Club Of Harts, mentorship and life coaching programs utilizing creative arts, socio-emotional learning, and personal development to equip youth with essential life skills and community support.

  • The first-ever Debate & Public Speaking Club and Spirit Squad at Charles H. Parker Academic Center, the only elementary school housing the elite Horizons program for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

  • A groundbreaking Behavioral Modification Program, integrating The Bae Hive methodology into elementary school interventions, providing students with structured guidance in self-awareness, leadership, and conflict resolution.

At the core of my work is a mission to bridge gaps in representation, education, and self-worth. Through photography, activism, education and mentorship, I seek to ensure that every child and individual feels seen, heard, and valued. Whether through an image, a debate, a cultural event, or a life lesson, my goal remains the same—to create spaces where cultured voices, stories, and dreams are amplified and honored.

Join me in building, uplifting, and transforming —one frame, one conversation, and one opportunity at a time.
